This bottle is a nice example of the medicine / poison bottles from the early-mid 1800s. The flared lip was made from 1830-1850.

It stands 2 & 3/4” tall / approx 3/4” wide.

A cobalt coffin shaped KU-8 with skull and crossbones plus DP CO. This is 3 in. 4 3/4 in. and 7 1/2 in. variants were made too. POISON is embossed on each side and this beauty has also been found in amber.

Looking at the cobalt blue poison bottle ... did you know that all bottles were made cobalt blue that held poisons ? So people were warned. Today, anytime you see one in an antique shop, you will know it once held poison of some sort. I collect them :)

I collect them too, and have some clear ones that are ribbed. I assumed those were poisons too. Thanks for the info !
