THIS AUCTION IS FOR AN EXTREMELY RARE 1890’s LARGE 7 1/2” DP CO. COFFIN-SHAPED POISON BOTTLE, KNOWN IN RUDY KUHN’S WORKBOOK AS THE KU-8.
Only 6 known examples to exist. Price on EBay - $14,700.
This bottle is a nice example of the medicine / poison bottles from the early-mid 1800s. The flared lip was made from 1830-1850.
It stands 2 & 3/4” tall / approx 3/4” wide.
A small grouping of KT-5s. Clockwise from left: A 2 - 15/16 in., a 5 in., and a 2 - 1/2 in. with label on side and top of cork.
